Throughout his professional career, Jay Long has focused on containing IT costs through process improvement and integrating IT with the business. Jay is a business-thinker who successfully can pull a very complex situation into a project with a clear and effective focus. Jay assists clients with the design, planning and implementation of ITIL processes, including: Service Catalog Management, Request Fulfillment, Incident, Problem, Configuration, Change, Release, Service Level, Availability, Capacity, IT Service Continuity, and Financial Management. His experience encompasses ITSM, ITIL, process design/implementation, workflow analysis and design, IT operations, service life-cycle, and project management.
His customer engagement highlights include an ITSM implementation for an international not-for-profit organization, an ISO/IEC 20000 Certification for a Department of Energy laboratory, an ITSM assesment and 3-year roadmap for a large vehicle insurance company, and and a ITIL Service Support implementation for a financial organization.
Jay holds multiple ITIL and ISO/IEC certifications.
